NEC NEC Unified Solutions , Inc . <br /> 11 . 1 . For NEC -supplied or supported PBX systems , making the necessary system <br /> changes to accommodate the installation of the Unified Messaging System . This <br /> does not include labor associated with installation of new PBX hardware components <br /> ( Labor to facilitate installation of Unified Messaging System with new PBX system <br /> being supplied by NEC is to be included within the PBX SOW) . <br /> 11 . 2 . Request documentation and/or support from Customer needed to facilitate integration <br /> of equipment to Customer' s network , and on required changes to installed PBX <br /> system in order that such changes can be facilitated by the Customer' s staff or PBX <br /> vendor ( if system not being supplied or supported by NEC ) . This information may <br /> include manufacturer system integration notes or other System documentation . <br /> 11 . 3 . Working with Customer contact to connect and test Unified Messaging telephony <br /> interface ports on the PBX . <br /> Customer shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 11 . 4 . Arrange for Customer support for the proper configuration of the installed PBX per <br /> guidelines provided by NEC . <br /> 11 . 5 . Ensuring that necessary PBX hardware/software additions or changes , and that all <br /> applicable system programming , is completed in a timely manner in accordance with <br /> the project schedule ( if work not being performed by NEC ) . <br /> 11 . 6 . If PBX is not being supplied or supported by NEC , provide PBX database information <br /> and other details that are relevant to the Unified Messaging System installation ( i . e . , <br /> station numbering plan , directory listings , list of assigned extensions and locations , <br /> feature access codes , etc . ) . <br /> 12 . Implementation of VoiceMail / Unified Messaging <br /> NEC shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 12 . 1 . Integrate or facilitate connection between unified messaging server and end user <br /> directory services ( i . e . Active Directory schema extension ) . <br /> 12 . 2 . On server- based systems , install unified messaging software on prepared server <br /> infrastructure . <br /> 12 . 3 . Integrate or facilitate connectivity between unified messaging server and message <br /> storage location ( i . e . Exchange 5 . 5 , Exchange 2000 , Lotus Notes ) <br /> 12 . 4 . Installation of up to two (2 ) Unified Messaging PC clients <br /> 12 . 5 . Instruction or overview for Customer implementation team on how to install additional <br /> licensed clients . <br /> Customer shall be responsible for the following : <br /> 12 . 6 . Reviewing System documentation being supplied by NEC and assessing necessary <br /> actions and changes pertaining to Customer' s network . <br /> 12 . 7 . Making available a Network Administrator both familiar with and responsible for the <br /> Customer' s network . This individual must have the ability to make implementation <br /> decisions , provide necessary information to the NEC implementation team , and carry <br /> out needed changes to the Customer' s network to support connectivity of the Unified <br /> Messaging server( s ) . <br /> 12 . 8 . Assignment of needed LAN connection ( s ) , dedicated IP address ( es ) . <br /> 12 . 9 . Assignment of domain user account( s) , required domain permissions , and additional <br /> network configuration settings that may be needed to facilitate System ' s integration . <br /> 12 . 10 . Installation and configuration of additional customers at user desktops or <br /> procurement of installation services from NEC or other service provider. <br /> NEC Unified Solutions , Inc .
