lti <br /> Ms. Polly Kratman GeoSyntec Consultants <br /> Indian River County <br /> 10 May 2006 <br /> Page 3 <br /> The remainder of this section presents a general description of the activities to be <br /> performed in each task. <br /> Task 1 — General Consulting/Meeting Support/ Project Management <br /> Task 1 consists of three components : general consulting, meeting support, and project <br /> management. GeoSyntec will provide SWDD with consulting services necessary to <br /> initiate the project and attend pre-application and in-progress design review meetings with <br /> SWDD and the FDEP Central District Office. GeoSyntec will prepare presentation <br /> graphics, engineering drawings, and other documents required to support the meetings and <br /> project coordination activities . <br /> A kickoff meeting with SWDD is proposed before the start of project activities so that <br /> the specific project requirements can be discussed. If requested by SWDD, GeoSyntec <br /> will prepare for and attend a meeting with the SWDD Board to explain the project scope <br /> and budget requirements, or to provide general technical assistance. In addition, three <br /> review meetings will be held with SWDD at the : completion of the proposed field <br /> investigations, and at the 50 percent and 90 percent completion of the design. GeoSyntec <br /> will also meet with the solid waste and environmental resources permitting (ERP) sections <br /> of FDEP to discuss specific permitting issues and obtain concept "buy-in" prior to <br /> submittal of the permit applications. Following each meeting, GeoSyntec will prepare <br /> meeting minutes that document decisions reached in the meetings . <br /> Project management activities will include: budget and schedule tracking; invoice <br /> review; and project communications, including the preparation of a monthly progress <br /> report. The project report will include a description of the activities completed during the <br /> month and planned activities for the following month. In addition, the progress report will <br /> identify any technical or administrative issues that require the SWDD ' s attention and the <br /> current status of the budget and schedule. <br /> For the purpose of this budget estimate, GeoSyntec has included eight meetings : (i) <br /> one kickoff meeting with SWDD; (ii ) three in-progress design review meetings with <br /> SWDD ; (iii) three meetings with FDEP and SWDD staff, and (iv) one meeting with the <br /> SWDD Board, if requested by SWDD . <br /> XIA6096VL60070.d0c <br />
