Ms. Polly Kratman GeoSyntec Consultants
Indian River County
10 May 2006
Page 9
included in the Hydrogeological and Geotechnical Investigations Report. It is understood
that a well inventory study was recently completed as part of the renewal permit
application for the IRCL facility. GeoSyntec will utilize the available data and information
and will only supplement this with additional data search if necessary.
Subtask 2. 4 — Data Evaluation and Interpretation
Existing site hydrogeological and geotechnical information collected from previous
investigations and data collected during this investigation will be compiled in a relational
electronic data base to facilitate data evaluation. This proposal assumes the historical data
will be available in electronic format. GeoSyntec however understands that some of these
data may not be readily available in electronic format. In those cases, hard copies will be
scanned and/or entered into a database to facilitate data management. A Geographic
Information System (GIS) based analytical approach will be used to analyze and present
the results of the investigations. This allows for ease of data analysis and preparation of
multi-dimensional drawings that can be used in permitting and public presentations.
Subtask 2. 5 — Hydrogeological and Geotechnical Investigation Report
A Hydrogeological and Geotechnical Investigation Report (report) will be prepared to
summarize the results of the field investigation and of the review of the project documents .
The report will address the following hydrogeological investigation requirements of Rule
62-701 .410( 1 )5 FAC :
• a description of the landfill site geology and hydrogeology and its relationship to
the local and regional hydrogeologic patterns;
• an inventory of all public and private water wells within one-mile radius of the
proposed landfill expansion ; and
• a map showing the location of all potable wells within 500 feet of the landfill, and
locations of all wells serving community water supplies within 1 ,000 feet of the
proposed landfill expansion.
The report will also address geotechnical investigation requirements of Rule 62-
710.410(2), FAC, including the following :
XL06096UL60070.doe
