MAR 241965 <br />BOOK - 9 ?AGEE% <br />Two residents of Anita Park Subdivision appeared before the Board <br />with complaints of the dump located on South Gifford Road and urged <br />immediate action of the Board.. They were informed that as soon as <br />funds were available, a sanitary land fill program would be put into <br />effect. <br />At the recommendation of the County Engineer and with the approval <br />of the. members of the Board, the county policy of replacing rusted <br />out culverts under county roads which are not necessary for road <br />drainage is hereby eliminated. However, if the culvert purchased by <br />the property owner is at least 60' in length, the county will <br />continue the policy of providing. the labor to put it in. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, the appointment, of James L. McCoy. <br />as a Deputy Sheriff was approved. <br />Alfred Webber, Deputy Clerk, presented a letter from the Rudy <br />Hubbard Agency stating that due to an error the premium on the proposal <br />presented on March 10 would be $1,778.00, in lieu of $1,535.00 as <br />quoted. Upon Motion made .by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers, and unanimously carried, the corrective bill <br />was approved and the Clerk instructed to issue warrant in payment of <br />same. <br />The.Deputy Clerk presented a letter from the City Council, City <br />of Sebastian, requesting its share of the road and bridge tax, as <br />set forth in Chapter 336.59 (2), Florida. Statutes. Mr. Webber informed <br />the Board that the Sebastian share this year would be approximately <br />$900.00. The Clerk was instructed to write Mr. Jordan, City. Clerk, <br />requesting a suggestion of a road project in that amount. <br />. Upon Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, and unanimously carried, the following Item to Item Transfer <br />.in the General Fund was approveds From Account No. 951 Contingencies <br />to Account No. 685.2 Vero Beach <br />• <br />Chamber of Commerce Publicity - $150.00. <br />
