AUG 4 1965 <br />BOOK 9 PAGE 292 <br />Motion was'made by Commissioner S'1addell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, and unanimously carried, that the Engineer request the State <br />Road Department to survey the feasibility of re-routing Road 60 on <br />the North side of the Main 'Canal. <br />The Engineer reported that the plans submitted by Miss Mary Lou <br />Durrance for a building on land leased to the West'Wabasso Progressive <br />Civic Club had been checked and that the estimate was higher than <br />expected. The plans are being revised and a new estimate will be made. <br />Motion was made b,r Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner: <br />MoCullers and unanimously carried, that.the Beverage Department be <br />notified that the Application of Taylor M. King.for a 1APS (Beer, <br />package sales, only) license at King's Mile Inn Grocery at the corner <br />of Old Dixie Highway and 12th Street does, conform to the zoning <br />regulations of the County, and further, that the application of <br />J. C. Hargrove for a 2APS license (beer and wine, package sales, only) <br />at Hargrove Hot Spot, Lot 4, Block 3, Hargrove Subdivision, does <br />.conform to the zoning regulations of the County, the Resolution. <br />adopted in 1956 and.recorded .in Minute Book 5 page 2 having been amended. <br />The County Engineer presented a quotation for a Welbilt 5605R <br />Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner, installed, from Barker.Blectric Co of <br />3215.00 for the Clerk Circuit Court office. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Waddell, seconded by'Cormiosioner McCullers and unanimously <br />carried,.that the quotation of Barker Blectric Co., be approved. <br />The County Engineer•reported.on the Cemetery on North Gifford <br />Road'ao.had been requested by the Board. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried that Indian River County enter into <br />a cooperative project with•the In{ian River County Mosquito Control <br />District to work with the Mosquito Control District's hydraulic. dredge <br />to fill all salt marsh property, approximately sixty -Dix (66) acres, <br />held by the county in the vicinity of Round Island for the dual purpose <br />of eliminating mosquito and sandfly breeding areas and creation of <br />a waterfront parksite. The depth of the fill will be in accordance <br />with established Mosquito Control practices and average approximately <br />two and oxte-half feet above present marsh elevation. The cooperative <br />plan is that the funds for the work will be derived frog three sourcese <br />a lump sum of 330,000 contributed to the Mosquito Control District <br />
