NOV 2 41965 <br />goon 8 rbc 380 <br />involved in the acquisition of the right-cf-way and provided that <br />this right-of-way does not fall under the Murphy Act. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried. <br />Commissioner Waddell moved that the State Road Department <br />be requested to finance, with County Secondary Funds to be paid off <br />at such time as the Bond Funds are made available, the construction <br />of Old Dixie Highway (SR 605) from 19th Street to Glendale Road; <br />and that the County Engineer be instructed to notify the State Road <br />Department that the Board has taken. this action and to request that <br />they furnish us with a sample resolution to be adopted. The Motion <br />wa-s seconded by Commissioner Haffield and unanimously carried. <br />The Deputy Clerk read a letter from Barney and Hariot Greene <br />thanking each member of the Board for hearing their grievances and <br />for the Board's cooperation in striving to improve 16th Street. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />.\ <br />R E S O L U T I O N, <br />WHEREAS, taxes for the year 1965 on the South 100 feet <br />of Lot 15, Kansas City Colony Subdivision, amounting to $237.52,, <br />have been levied in the name of Indian River County, Florida, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County purchased said parcel of land <br />from Julian Lowenstein on October, 1, 1965, at which time a tax prorate. <br />of $178.00 was retained by the County as shown'in the Closing State <br />meat dated:October 1,1965, now therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED 8y the.Board of County. Commissioners in <br />regular session on November 24, 1965, that the Clerk of the. Board <br />be Instructed to draw a warrant on the General Fund of Indian River <br />County in the amount of 8170.88, representing the tax prorate of <br />r 8178:00 less a discount of 4%, payable to Troy E moody,. -Tax Collector. <br />of •Indian River County, .and <br />8E.'IT FURTHER. RESOLVED THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />Chapter 65-179 F.5.*the remainder of the taxes on this parcel for <br />the year 1965 in the amount of $66.64 be hereby cancelled. <br />} <br />
