DEFINITIONS Not at opt + 40.5 pt + 72 pt + <br /> 108 pt + 144 pt + 180 pt + 216 pt <br /> + 252 pt + 288 pt + 324 pt + 360 <br /> 5 . 1 Acceptance - An Acceptance Section is accepted when the ENGINEER recommends pt + 396 pt + 432 pt <br /> to the COUNTY payment for an Acceptance Section and the COUNTY makes r-ormattad <br /> payment based on completed Acceptance Surveys . <br /> 5 .2 Acceptance Section - A section of the project beach fill between adjacent survey <br /> (acceptance) profiles; for example, between R-97 and R-97.5; between R-97 .5 and R- <br /> 98, etc. <br /> 5 .3 Borrow Site - Refers to specific offshore location delineated in the Construction Plans <br /> which has been permitted as the source of beach quality material for this specific <br /> project. <br /> 5 .4 Demobilization - The removal of all equipment and material associated with this <br /> Contract from the work location and doing so in a manner that leaves the work site in <br /> its original condition, or in a condition acceptable to the COUNTY . This item shall <br /> be performed at the expense of the CONTRACTOR. <br /> 5 . 5 Environmental Damage and/or Pollution - The presence of chemical , physical or <br /> biological elements or agents which have the potential to adversely affect human <br /> health or welfare; unfavorably alter ecological balance; affect other species; or <br /> degrade the utility of the environment for aesthetic, cultural, historical or recreational <br /> purposes. The control of environmental pollution requires consideration of water, air <br /> and land. Pollutants include fuels and other hydrocarbons such as hydraulic fluid, <br /> paints and solvents; bilge water; solid wastes; and noise as well as other pollutants. <br /> 5 .6 Items of Historical or Archeological Value — Man-made or altered artifacts over 50 <br /> years old. <br /> 5 .7 Materials - Beach quality sand excavated from the permitted borrow site in <br /> accordance with the design documents. <br /> 5 .8 Mobilization - Mobilization includes but is not limited to those operations <br /> necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the <br /> project site; the establishment of temporary offices and/or buildings; and the <br /> procurement of safety equipment, first aid supplies, sanitary and other facilities as <br /> required by these Technical Specifications, and State, Federal and local laws and <br /> regulations . <br /> 5 .9 Plans/Construction Plans - Blue line drawings and any other drawings as specified in <br /> this Contract.
