The CONTRACTOR will also submit with the bid a report identifying the specific stockpile(s) <br /> and/or site(s) to be used for the project, and an estimate of the volume of sand available from each <br /> stockpile or source. Upon request, Contractor shall arrange for County staff to inspect the <br /> stockpile(s) and/or source(s) before submitting bid. <br /> The following sections ofthese Technical Specifications will not apply to upland sand source bids: <br /> 8.65 8. 115 13. 1 . 1 .2. 1 , 13 . 1 .49 13 .2 .2.2.69 13 .2 .2. 3 . 1 , 197 219 24, 28 , 31 .3, 31 .7, 33 , and 46 . All other <br /> Technical Specifications herein apply to all bids. <br /> 36 . PAYMENT FOR MOBILIZATION <br /> Mobilization includes but is not limited to those operations as defined in Section 5 .8 and as further <br /> described in Section 27. 1 of these Technical Specifications. The costs of bonds, required insurance <br /> and any other pre-construction expense necessary for the start of the work, excluding the cost of <br /> construction materials, shall also be included in this line item. <br /> Based on the line item for mobilization/demobilization in the Notice of Contract Award, a 60% <br /> partial payment shall be made to the CONTRACTOR upon the placement of 10,000 cubic yards of <br /> beach compatible material within the construction fill template. The remaining 40% will be paid to <br /> the CONTRACTOR upon Final Acceptance of the completed project. <br /> 37. ACCEPTANCE PROFILES <br /> All sand excavated from the borrow area shall be transported to and deposited on the beach within <br /> the lines, grades and cross-sections shown on the Plans except as maybe modified following the pre- <br /> construction survey or other conditions specified in Section 31 of these Technical Specifications , <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall maintain and protect the fill in a satisfactory condition at all times until <br /> Acceptance of the work. <br /> 37. 1 Non-Ne otiable. All acceptance (pay) profiles are shown in the Plans and <br /> Specifications for the project. Acceptance profiles have been established based on <br /> FDNR/FDEP and intermediate monuments at a spacing of approximately 500 feet <br /> ±50 feet. The COUNTY shall retain final decision regarding any and all issues <br /> related to pay profiles, pay volumes and any other issues pertaining to the fill <br /> quantities and acceptance profiles. <br /> 37 .2 Underfilling. The filled beach between acceptance profiles shall be graded, dressed <br /> (see Section 31 .4) and uniform in dimension. Pay profile lines shall include a <br /> minimum of 95% of the design fill , as calculated by the COUNTY, and the fill must <br /> meet the lines and grades of the template shown on the Plans. The constructed beach <br /> contour lines between pay profiles shall be approximately parallel and straight, <br /> indicating the CONTRACTOR' S best effort to construct a uniform (non-cuspate) <br /> beach between the profile lines . If the COUNTY observes underfilling between pay <br /> profile lines, or scarping from a previously Accepted Section, additional surveys shall <br /> be conducted by the CONTRACTOR to quantify the fill in place and ensure a <br /> uniform template is being maintained between profile lines.
