payment of that section, the CONTRACTOR shall place additional fill until the beach <br /> is uniform in appearance and dimensions between pay profile lines. <br /> 37 .3 Adjustments for an Increase or Decrease in Work in Excess of 25% If any change <br /> ordered by the COUNTY causes an increase or decrease in the amount of the Work <br /> exceeding 25% of the estimated volumetric quantities to be placed within <br /> construction templates as specified by the Contract Documents, then the COUNTY <br /> and CONTRACTOR shall execute a written supplemental agreement covering the <br /> additional or reduced work. The COUNTY has the right to modify the project to <br /> meet the bid amount agreed upon by the COUNTY and the CONTRACTOR. The <br /> CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for insuring that such additional work is <br /> covered under a performance and payment bond. <br /> 37 .4 Final Completion . The final completion date shall be the date of completion of all <br /> work called for in the Contract Documents. This date is also the date for figuring any <br /> liquidated damages. <br /> 37 .5 Surveys. Acceptance profile surveys shall be conducted by the CONTRACTOR . <br /> Surveys shall be conducted in accordance with Section 34 of these Technical <br /> Specifications, <br /> 37 .6 Volume Calculations. Profile azimuths are as shown in the Plans. Volume <br /> calculations between profiles shall be based on average end area method and shall be <br /> made by the ENGINEER. Based on the ENGINEE. R 's recommendation . the <br /> COUNTY" may provide partial acceptance of Acceptance Sections for a volume of <br /> placed sand as detmrind by pre- and post-placement surveys conducted per Section 38 <br /> of these Technical Specifications and agreed to by the ENGINEER and <br /> CONTRACTOR. <br /> 38 . ACCEPTANCE SURVEYS <br /> The CONTRACTOR is not responsible for erosion of the beach 511 following Acceptance by the <br /> COUNTY. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for maintaining the beach fill until it is Accepted by <br /> the COUNTY. Pre-construction and acceptance surveys conducted by the CONTRACTOR shall be <br /> in accordance with the standards set forth in Section 34 of these Technical Specifications. <br /> 39. PAYMENT FOR BEACH FILL PLACEMENT <br /> 39. 1 Payment. Other than costs for mobilization, demobilization, beach grass planting, <br /> bermed beach section, and beach tilling, all costs connected with debris removal , <br /> excavating, transportation of fill material, escarpment grading, and beach and dune <br /> construction shall be included in the contract unit price per cubic yard given under the <br /> Dredge and Fill bid item.
