ARTICLE 24 <br />GRIEVANCE AND ARBITRATION <br />GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE <br />24.1 Except when doing so would present an unreasonable risk to the <br />safety, bargaining unit employees will follow all written and verbal ord <br />superiors even if such orders are alleged to be in conflict with the <br />Compliance with such orders will not prejudice the right to file a Brie, <br />the time limits contained herein, nor shall compliance affect t <br />resolution of the grievance. <br />24.2 A "grievance" is a claimed violation of this agreement, including but i <br />the claim that a discharge or other disciplinary action violated a spec <br />of this agreement. A grievance may k <br />bargaining unit employee or by the union (hereinafter the "grievant <br />case, the procedure to be followed will be the same. The < <br />management may mutually agree to waive any step.. Any employe( <br />this agreement must use this grievance process and has no right <br />grievance process (Le., administrative policy, etc.). <br />24.3 Any grievance, defined as a claim reasonably and suitably founded o <br />of the terms and conditions of this agreement, shall systematicall <br />grievance procedure as outlined herein. Any grievance filed shall <br />provision or provisions of the agreement alleged to have been violatE <br />adequately set forth the facts pertaining to the alleged violation. <br />24.4 Rules of Grievance Processing - It is agreed that: <br />(A) The time limit at any stage of the grievance procedure may <br />by written mutual agreement of the parties involved in that ste <br />(B) A grievance presented at Step 2 and above shall be dated a <br />the aggrieved employee presenting it.
