SECTION 01720 <br /> RECORD DOCUMENTS <br /> 1 . 1 GENERAL <br /> A. Maintain and provide the ENGINEER with record documents as specified below , <br /> except where otherwise specified or modified in Divisions 1 - 17 or the <br /> Supplementary Conditions . <br /> B . Maintenance of Documents : <br /> 1 . Maintain complete sets of record documents in CONTRACTOR's field office in <br /> clean , dry , legible condition . " Record Documents include but are not limited <br /> to : Drawings ( including Contract Drawings , Record Drawings , and electronic <br /> files of Record Drawings ) , Specifications , Addenda , approved Shop Drawings , <br /> samples , photographs , Change Orders , other modifications of Contract <br /> Documents , test records , survey data , Field Orders , and all other documents <br /> pertinent to CONTRACTOR' S Work . <br /> 2 . Provide files and racks for proper storage and easy access . File in <br /> accordance with filing format of Construction Specification Institute ( CSI ) . <br /> 3 . Make * documents available at all times for inspection by ENGINEER and <br /> OWNER . <br /> 4 . Do not use record documents for any other purpose and do not remove them <br /> from the field office . <br /> Co Recording : <br /> 1 . Label each document " PROJECT RECORD " in 2-inch high printed letters . <br /> 2 . Keep record documents current . <br /> 3 . Do not permanently conceal any Work until required information has been <br /> recorded . <br /> 1 . 2 RECORD DRAWINGS <br /> A . During the entire construction operation , maintain records of all deviations from the <br /> Drawings and Specifications and prepare therefrom , " Record Drawings" showing <br /> correctly and accurately , all changes and deviations from the work made during <br /> construction , to reflect the work as it was actually constructed . <br /> B . Mark whichever drawing is most capable of showing the constructed condition fully <br /> and accurately ; however , where shop drawings are used for mark-up , record a <br /> cross- reference at the corresponding location on the contract drawings . Mark- up <br /> new information that is recognized to be of importance to the OWNER but was not <br /> shown on either the contract drawings or shop drawings . Give particular attention <br /> to concealed work that would be difficult to measure and record at a later date . <br /> Note related change order numbers where applicable . <br /> C .
