J <br />1.2 CONTRACTOR'S FIELD ENGINEER/SUPERINTENDENT <br />A. Employ and retain at the site of the Work, a field engineer and/or superintendent <br />capable of performing all engineering tasks required of the CONTRACTOR. <br />These tasks include, but are not limited to: <br />1. Check all formwork, reinforcing, inserts, structural steel, bolts, sleeves, <br />piping, other materials, and equipment. <br />2. Maintain field office files and drawings, Record Documents, and <br />coordinate all work with subcontractors. Prepare layout and construction <br />drawings for construction operations. <br />3. Check and coordinate the Work for conflicts and interferences and <br />immediately notify the ENGINEER's CONSULTANT in writing, of all <br />discrepancies noted. <br />4. Coordinate with the ENGINEER's CONSULTANT in field reviews. <br />1.3 SURVEY WORK <br />A. Prior to commencing work, verify the accuracy of all survey bench marks and <br />references, and existing site information as indicated in the Contract Documents <br />and provided by the ENGINEER, ENGINEER's CONSULTANT, or OWNER's <br />survey contractor. Immediately notify the ENGINEER's CONSULTANT upon <br />discovery of any errors, inaccuracies or omissions in the survey data. The <br />commencing of any of the work by the CONTRACTOR shall be held as the <br />CONTRACTOR's acceptance that all survey or existing site information is correct <br />and accurate, without any reasonably inferable errors, inaccuracies or omissions. <br />The OWNER does not guarantee that the survey control shown or implied on <br />the Drawings will be in place when construction begins. If the referenced survey <br />control is missing or has been disturbed, the OWNER will provide necessary <br />initial survey control or references. <br />Be The CONTRACTOR shall carefully preserve all control stakes, benchmarks, <br />reference points and property corners and will be responsible for any mistake or <br />loss of time caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. If the loss or <br />disturbance of any stakes or marks causes a delay in the Work, the <br />CONTRACTOR shall have no claim for damages or extension of time. Control <br />stakes, benchmarks, reference points and property corners disturbed shall be <br />replaced by a Florida Registered Land Surveyor and Mapper, at the <br />CONTRACTOR's expense.
