B. TEMPORARY SANITARY FACILITIES <br />1. Provide temporary toilet facilities separate from the job office. Maintain these <br />during the entire period of construction under this Contract for the use of all <br />construction personnel on the job. Provide enough chemical toilets to <br />conveniently serve the needs of all personnel. Properly seclude toilet <br />facilities from public observation. <br />2. Toilets and their maintenance shall meet the requirements of State and local <br />health regulations and ordinances. Immediately correct any facilities or <br />maintenance methods failing to meet these requirements. Upon completion <br />of work, remove the facilities from the premises. <br />C. TEMPORARY ELECTRICITY <br />1. Provide temporary electric service as required for all construction purposes <br />and pay for all electricity used. <br />1.4 CONSTRUCTION AIDS <br />A. MATERIAL HOISTS AND CRANES <br />1. Provide material hoists required for normal use by all trades and employ <br />skilled hoist operators. Provide all necessary guards, signals, safety devices, <br />etc., required for safe hoist operation. The construction and operation of <br />material hoists shall be in accordance with the applicable ANSI Standards, <br />the "Manual Code of Accident Prevention in Construction" of the Associated <br />General Contractors of America, OSHA, and of other Federal, State, and <br />municipal codes or ordinances. Prohibit the use of hoist for transporting <br />personnel. Hoists shall be located to avoid risk of damage to completed <br />work. <br />2. Special rigging and hoisting facilities shall be provided by each trade <br />requiring their use. <br />B. TEMPORARY RUNWAYS9 SCAFFOLDING, AND LADDERS <br />1. Provide temporary ladders, ramps, and runways as required for performance <br />and inspection of the work. Construct and maintained these facilities in <br />accordance with the applicable Federal, State, and Municipal regulations and <br />codes. <br />2. Erects permanent stairs, if any, as soon as possible, and provide suitable <br />temporary treads, risers, railings, etc., as required for safety. <br />3. Furnish, erect, and maintain all scaffolding required for this Work. Construct <br />and maintain scaffolding in accordance with applicable State and Federal <br />laws and local ordinances. Promptly remove scaffolding after it has served <br />its purpose. <br />4.
