SECTION 02000 <br />MOBILIZATION & DEMOBILIZATION <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 SCOPE <br />A. The work specified in this Section consists of furnishing all material, transportation, <br />tools, labor, and equipment with the one (1) time mobilization and demobilization of <br />all the Contractor's men and equipment and all costs connected to obtainment of a <br />performance bond for construction will be paid for at the lump sum price indicated <br />on the Contractor's proposal. All other costs associated with performance of the <br />work and not addressed in other bid items - shall be included in the Contractor's <br />proposal for under the bid item for mobilization and demobilization, such items may <br />reasonably be assume to include but not limited to mobilize and demobilize <br />equipment and personel, obtain required permits, attend preconstruction meetings, <br />preparation and submittal of shop drawings, and alike preconstruction activities. <br />1.2 Preconstruction Meeting <br />A. Prior to the start of construction, the Contractor shall meet on the site at the <br />Wabbaso Beach Park with the Engineer and County to establish the construction <br />access and pre -construction conditions of the site (photographs will be taken by the <br />Engineer. At this meeting the Engineer and Contractor shall review the limits of <br />proposed fill, the areas of existing vegetation expected to be disturbed and <br />transplanted, and the construction sequence and methods proposed by the <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />1.3 Staking <br />A. Staking of the proposed construction is to be performed by the Contractor prior to <br />initiation of work by methods subject to the Engineer's approval. The Contractor <br />shall provide to the Engineer a "Stake out Sheet" marked to illustrate the <br />Contractor's staking for field control of the work. <br />1.4 Permit Compliance <br />A. The Contractor shall abide by all notes and conditions indicated on the Construction <br />Drawings and all permits associated with the work including the Florida Department <br />of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Indian River County and any other permits <br />required. If the Contractor violates any condition of the permits and work is stopped <br />by the State of Florida, Indian River County, or other public entity, then any <br />additional costs incurred by the Contractor in association with stoppage of the work <br />shall be paid by the Contractor and not charged to the County.
