The County Administrator presented a feasibility report <br />covering the projects listed in the Master Plan prepared by the <br />Progressive Civic League of Gifford. After discussion, the following <br />action was taken: <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian and. unanimously carried that the County Administrate <br />be authorized to proceed with the paving.of 1) 43rd„ t'xPeet., from <br />U.S.#1 (old) to 28th Avenue; 2) 31st Avenue between North and South 1. <br />'Gifford Roads 3) 33rd Avenue from North Gifford Road to H-2 Canal, in <br />accordance with his recommendations. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas and unanimously carried., that the culverts <br />at the following locations : 1) 31st.. Avenue, andtNQrth;Gifford Road' <br />:2) . 35th Avenue and North Gifford Road 3) 33rd Avenue and North. Gifford <br />Road, be replaced and put in suitable condition as part of the regular <br />maintenance of county roads. <br />Regarding Request #3, Clean-up and Beautification, the <br />Administrator suggested a liasion project between.the Road and <br />Bridge Department, the County Health Iepartment and a Citizens <br />Working Committee from the area, whereby a pond in Reedwood Subdivision <br />could !be turned into a landfill operation, and later be made into a <br />playground area. The suggestion was approved by the Board and the <br />County Administrator was requested to discuss such an operation with <br />the Progressive Civic League. <br />The Administrator pointed out that the Request #3 for Street <br />Lights, that the county criteria for installation of street lights <br />is not met in this area. <br />Regarding the maintenance and management of Ambersand Beach <br />Park, the County Administrator was requested to discuss with the League <br />the possibility,of gettjng a lifeguard to be custodian of the park after <br />the County has 'put it back into condition. <br />MAY 241g 7 <br />;TA 10 itat360 <br />
