Mr. Bill.Locke and Mr. Gene Roddenberry appeared before the <br />Board in regard to the construction of a boat ramp a Sebastian Inlet <br />Park by a group of citizens, (see minutes of 2/22/67) After considerable <br />discussion, Commissioner Dritenbas volunteered to work with the group <br />to determine the most feasible method of construction and report back <br />to the Board. <br />The County Administrator showed pictures taken of one <br />particular area in the County, ( Rebel Road, west of 20th Avenue) <br />where a great amount of trash and garbage Iswbeing dumped along the <br />county.right-of-way: After discussion of the problem, Motion was <br />made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and <br />unanimously carried, that the Sheriff be requested to assign two <br />unmarked cars to patrol the County for illegal dumping of trash on the <br />rights-of-way. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and unanimously carried, the.Administrator and members of <br />the Board were authorized to meet with the State Road Department in <br />Fort Lauderdale on May 17. <br />The Board then recessed at 11:40 A..M. and re -convened at <br />1:15 P. M. <br />The County is in receipt of letter dated May 10, 1967 <br />from the Corps of Engineers/. Jacksonville District, advising of an <br />application for dredging permit by Mrs. Anita Connelle SAJSP-Permits. <br />67-258. On Motion by. Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Bogosian and • unanimously carried, the County Administrator is <br />directed to advise the Corps of Engineers that under the laws of the <br />State of Florida and the Resolutions of this County, permits for <br />4 ' <br />such dredging and filling must be'made by formal application to this Board, <br />and that no such application has been made for this project, and the <br />Board therefore herewith registers its objections to the granting of <br />the permit by the Corps of Engineers. <br />MAY 2 4'1967 ;rig 10 .PAcE361. <br />
