On the recommendation and at the request of the State Road <br />Department, Commissioner Macdonald moved that a special speed zone <br />be established on State Road 510 (the east and west approaches to <br />the Wabasso Bridge), the maximum not to exceed 25 miles per hour, <br />and that signs be erected to that effect. Motion was seconded. by <br />Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried. <br />Motion was made by, Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas and unanimously carried that, the County <br />reject the offer of Mr. Ike Evans to sell to the County ten acres <br />of,land,adjacent to the Sanitary Land fill on South Gifford Road. <br />The County Administrator requested the Board to consider <br />discontinuing the project of the re -alignment of Oslo. Road between <br />Ranch Road and 90th Avenue because 1-95 and overpass will be in the <br />first 1/2 mile.of this portion of road. On Motion by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas and unanimously carried, <br />this -project -!-Vas discontinued from the county road program. <br />Commissioner Bogosian reported to the Board of a complaint <br />he received from residents in Vero Lake Estates Subdivision that the <br />school bus driver has been instructed -not to go down the roads because <br />they are in such a deplorable condition.. The Administrator explained <br />that thecond±tion exists because the roads are sub -standard marl roads, <br />the extreme dry weather, and heavy tomato trucks that are using the roads. <br />He offered to contact the county school bus garage to see if the situation <br />could be remedied. <br />Commissioner Dritenbas presented to the Board a request by <br />Lloyd and Reed Knight that the county maintain the continuation of <br />Lindsey Road from U.S. Highway #1 towards the River. During the <br />discussion which ensued, it was broughtout that,to date, no record <br />has been found that the county owns the right-of-way. <br />MAY 2 41967�0 PA6(Jr�UJ�+r� <br />UOdk <br />
