2. Kick Off Meeting <br /> The Engineer will meet with appropriate County staff to discuss tank operation and water system <br /> operational protocols prior to initiating design. The discussion will also center on the preference <br /> for tank operation during these modifications to assure adequate water service to customers. <br /> 3. Conceptual Design <br /> The Engineer will review the potential of using the existing tank site and foundation to install the <br /> new higher tank and provide a summary of the proposed modifications to accomplish . The <br /> Engineer will prepare an alternative of constructing the new tank adjacent to the existing tank and <br /> a proposed method of connection. Conceptual plans will be presented to County staff for review. <br /> It is assumed the new Roseland tank and appurtenances can be located within the existing <br /> Roseland tank site. <br /> 4. Final Design and Permitting <br /> The Engineer will prepare construction documents based upon the comments from the <br /> Conceptual design meeting . Plans will be submitted at the 90% level for County comments then <br /> will be revised to bid ( 100 % level) documents . Construction documents will include the <br /> Engineer' s technical specification and drawings . Front end and contract documents are anticipated <br /> to be supplied by the County. <br /> Upon approval of the 90% by the County, the Engineer will submit the plans to FDEP contruction <br /> permit application . The Engineer will respond to any RAI' s generated by the application. It is <br /> assumed that no ERP permit is required . <br /> The Engineer will also provide application to FAA for raising the Tank to the required elevation. <br /> The Engineer will also prepare the applications for the site plan approval process in Indian <br /> River County assuming three meetings with County review staff, zoning hearing and a <br /> meeting before the County Commission. <br /> 5. Bidding <br /> The Engineer will prepare an opinion of probable cost for the proposed improvements. <br /> The Engineer will provide twenty five (25) bid documents and plans to the County . The Engineer <br /> will respond to any questions or comments during the bid process. Based upon received bids, the <br /> Engineer will compile a bidder' s list and summary and provide a recommendation of award. <br /> After approval of award by the County, the Engineer will prepare conformed documents. <br /> 6. Construction Services <br /> The Engineer will conduct a preconstruction conference with the County and selected Contractor <br /> prior to providing a written notice to proceed . The Engineer will prepare a construction booklet <br /> along with keeping minutes of the meeting for later review. <br /> 2 <br />
