Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Mc- <br />Cullers and unanimously carried, that all members of the Board be authorized <br />to attend a meeting on Fire Prevention to be held in Panama City on October <br />17-19, 1967. <br />On Motion by Commissioner'Dritenbas, seconded by Commissioner McCullers <br />and unanimously carried, the Administrator was given permission to have a <br />table built for the conference room, not to exceed $100.00. <br />On Motion by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas <br />and unanimously carried, the Clerk was authorized to make monthly payments <br />to the following on items budgeted for the fiscal year, 1967-68, General Fund: <br />Alfred Lane Lawn Care $40.00 <br />Harold L. Traxler Building Care 50.00 <br />Thomas J. Maxwell Building Care 50.00 <br />St. of Fla.Child Welfare Dept. 975.00 <br />Humane Society of Vero Beach 600.00 <br />and a quartcrly remittance to <br />Indian River County Library Association $3,125.00 <br />The Clerk was requested to ask the officials of the Nineteenth Judicial <br />Circuit, receiving money from the County to notify the Clerk as to the pro- <br />visions of law applicable to such payment. <br />A letter was received from the East Central Florida Regional Planning <br />Council requesting payment for the County's share of the Council's budget <br />for the fiscal year 1967-68. Commissioner Bogosian moved that Indian River <br />County withdraw from the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council at <br />this time, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas. Commissioners Bogosian and <br />Dritenbas voted for the motion; Commissioners McCullers and Macdonald voted <br />against; and the motion carried with Chairman Graves voting for it. <br />Upon Motion by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Macdonald, <br />and unanimously carried, George Stokes, Veterans Service Officer, was auth- <br />orized to attend the County Service Officers Mid-Winter Conference in <br />St. Petersburg on October 19-20. <br />Upon Motion by Commissioner McCullers and seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and unanimously cariied, tieapplications of Robert C. Ramsdell <br />and of Annie Emily Ramsdell for the renewal of their pistol' permits, were <br />approved. <br />The Sheriff filed with the Board a statement of his appointment of <br />Edward V. Hughes as a Deputy Sheriff, whose voting precinct is No. 1-A, <br />and the said Deputy 'Sheriff filed his Bond with the Clerk of the Circuit <br />Court which was presented to the;Board.
