Service switch and distribution panel must be set and wired. <br />(5) In large and complicated jobs, the work may be inspected <br />in sections, on the approval of the Building Official. <br />(6) In single family residences, where the contractor requests <br />partial inspection, a fee of one dollar ($1.00) shall be paid for the <br />partial inspection. <br />(7) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to <br />use any electric current in or through any wiring apparatus or fix- <br />tures for light, heat or power in any building or. structure subject to <br />this resolution before the same shall have been inspected and approved <br />by the Building Official. <br />(8) • The electrical installation or part thereof shall not be <br />covered until it has been inspected, tested and approved as prescribed <br />in this section. If an electrical installation or part thereof .is covered <br />before being inspected, tested and approved, it shall be uncovered <br />upon the direction of the Building Official. <br />Section 23. CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL. <br />(1) Upon the satisfactory completion of the roughing -in inspec- <br />tion, approval shall be so noted on the Electrical Permit Card. This <br />approval shall give the date of the roughing -in inspection and the <br />initials of the inspector. <br />(2) Upon the satisfactory completion and final test of the elec- <br />trical installation, a certificate of approval shall be issued by the <br />Building Official to be delivered to the owner. <br />Section 24. EXISTING INSTALLATIONS. <br />(1) If more than fifty percent (50%) of a system that does not <br />conform to this code is remodeled or altered, the . entire system shall <br />be reconstructed to conform to this code. <br />(2) A circuit of an existing system which does not conform to <br />this code shall not be extended or added to until the entire circuit shall <br />21 <br />FEB 2" 1196$ <br />1100k PAGE127 <br />
