not specifically covered by this code, shall be deter- <br />mined <br />by the Plumbing Official, subject to appeal to the <br />Board of Adjustments and Appeals. " <br />(5) Liability. Section 103.7 is amended to read: <br />"Any officer or employee, or member of any Board of <br />Adjustments and Appeals. charged with the enforcement <br />of any of this code, acting for the applicable governing <br />body in the discharge of his duties, shall not thereby <br />render himself liable personally, and he is hereby re- <br />lieved of all personal liability for ordinary negligence <br />or for any damage that may occur to persons or property <br />as a result of any act required or permitted in the dis- <br />charge <br />is-charge of his duties. Any suit brought against any <br />officer or employee because of such act performed by <br />him in _the enforcement of any provision of this code <br />shall be defended by the County Attorney (referred to <br />herein as the Department of Law) until the final termin- <br />ation of the proceedings " <br />(6) When Permit Required. Section 104.1 is amended to read: <br />"Any person who desires to connect any plumbing work <br />with any sewers, sanitary or storm, septic tanks or <br />sewage disposal of any kind, or private connection or <br />install fixtures or appliances in new or existing systems, <br />structures or premises, or repair, or add to any exist- <br />ing plumbing, shall first make application to the Plumb- <br />ing Official and obtain the required permit therefor. - <br />Ordinary minor repairs may be made with the approval <br />of the Plumbing Official without a permit provided that <br />such repairs shall not violate any of the provisions of <br />this code. " <br />(7) Form. Section 104.2 is amended to read: <br />"Application for a permit shall be made in person. The <br />applicant shall furnish information as may be required <br />to complete the application form furnished by the Plumb- <br />ing Official. Such application for a permit that involves <br />the construction, installation or modification of a septic <br />tank or absorption field shall bear a current certificate <br />by the County Health Department certifying that said <br />authority has issued a permit authorizing the construc- <br />tion or installation shown on the application and drawings. " <br />(8) Drawings and Specifications. Section 104.3 is amended <br />to read: <br />"Whenever, in the opinion of the Plumbing Official, draw- <br />ings and specifications are needed to show definitely the <br />nature and character of the work for which the application <br />is made, the applicant shall furnish such drawings and <br />specifications.. These drawings and specifications shall <br />be drawn to scale and submitted in duplicate. If approved, <br />one set shall be returned to the applicant, marked <br />'approved', and one set shall be retained and filed as a <br />permanent record in the office of the Plumbing Official. <br />32 <br />FFR ;2 11968 <br />8001 11 r46C138 <br />
