Please provide the
quantity and sizes of these electrical components for the purpose of designing the size of the
electrical room .
ANSWER NO, 14
Attached is a drawing provided by Musco Sports Lighting. Control power (dedicated 20A) .
D . Electrical Distribution Panel (for overcurrent protection ) .
QUESTION NO. 15
Since the proposed FPL transformer for the sports lighting will be 277/480 V 3 phase a separate step
down transformer will be required for all of the 120v circuits for this project. These transformers
typically give off a lot of heat and we would not recommend installing this inside the un -air-
conditioned concession restroom building. It seems the best and least expensive design would be to
have FPL bring in a separate single phase service for the 120 v needs of this project . Please show the
120 v needs are to be met ?
ANSWER NO . 15
There will be three (3 ) meters. This should eliminate the need for step down transformers :
A. One meter, served by FPL transformer, will be for the sports lighting. FPL will install 500kVA
227/480V transformer on the east side of the concession building.
B . One meter, served by FPL transformer, will be for Concession/Restroom building, score boards
and PA system . That will be served by FPL 120/240V pad mounted transformer.
Page S of 11
F:\Public Works\ENGINEERING DIVISION PROJECTS\ 1126 - South Co Park Multi Purpose Fields\Admin\bid documents\Addendum No. 3 11 - 13 - 12.doc
I
