A portion of the project is
funded by the State, hence the reimbursable funding is time sensitive. Strict adherence to the
schedule will be required and monitored. Several questions were raised with regards to time
of completion. The questions were mainly in regards to if the County would entertain work
beyond the normal hours operation (7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM) and if so %what is the responsibility
of the Contractor.
The County will entertain work beyond the regular hours. If the subject work does not
require inspection or materials testing, the Contractor may work after hours with prior notice
to the Construction Coordination Manager. If the work requires inspection and testing, then
Contractor will be responsible to coordinate this work with the Construction Coordination
Manager and also reimburse the County for inspector' s time and any overtime incurred by
the materials testing technician . The County inspectors are paid an average $ 33 .38 per hour
regular time. This rate will be multiplied by 1 . 5 for any overtime. The County Inspectors
will work their regular schedule which is Monday through Friday except Indian River County
observed holidays.
• FIELD OFFICE
The Field Office must be established within the project limits. There might be a potential
site on the west side of 66th Avenue between 37th Street and 41St Street.
