QUESTION NO. 54
Please provide clarification as to whether televising & laser profiling of the proposed drainage pipe
will be required for this project. It was not required on the previous 66th St. Rdwy. Improvements
project (to the south of this one ) . As in the previous project I don 't see anything in the docs stating
that it is or is not required . In the previous project, per addendum # 2, it was not required . Please
clarify.
ANSWER NO. 54
No, Indian River County will not require televising and laser profiling of the proposed storm drainage
pipes .
QUESTION NO. 55
Please provide clarification as to what the exact requirements are for the modifications to the existing
control structures .
ANSWER NO. 55
Refer to plan sheet number 46 of the roadway plans . The existing control structure located at the
Vista Plantation property and at the Woodfield Trillium property will be modified in accordance with
the details shown on plan sheet number 46 .
QUESTION NO. 56
There are ( at least ) 2 locations that the plan identifies an existing inlet to be adjusted . One of those is
an adjustment of (what appears to be ) an existing type 3 or 4 curb inlet top . That would likely involve
removal / replacement of the (field poured ) top (very different than adjusting a manhole or ditch
bottom inlet) . Under what item will these costs be covered ?
ANSWER NO. 56
An item has been added for adjusting inlets .
QUESTION NO. 57
Typical sections on the Arcadis plans, sheets 26-27 of 275, indicates mixing of existing soils with clean .
granular fill material to achieve a minimum permeability rate of 10 ft/day and "refers to plans and
cross sections" . The plans and the cross sections do not indicate the "mixing" of any of the soils .
within the stated stations . Previous areas requiring undercut and replacement had been defined on
the cross sections (sheets 181492, stations 128+00-163+00) and are not indicated to have any special
"enhancement Are we to quantify the volumes based on the use of the typical sections? Please
advise .
ANSWER NO . 57
The callout "refers to plans and cross sections" pertains to the width between the right of way line
and the edge of the stabilized shoulder. The existing soils within all swale areas and dry detention
areas shall be mixed with clean granular fill material to achieve a minimum permeability rate of 10
ft/day as shown on the typical sections and pond details .
F:\Public Worlcs\ENGINEERING DIVISION PRO.IECTS\0545-66711Ave SR60 to 57tH St (A:t=dis)\Admim\Bid Documents\Addendwn #2\Addendum No. 2
11 - 19- 12.doc
