F <br />w , <br />F. J. Lembo, President and other members of the Sebastian <br />Volunteer Fire Department appeared before the Board requesting <br />that the Board share,on a 50-50 basis, with the City of Sebastian, <br />the cost of a new ambulance, the cost to the County to be <br />approximately $4,500.00. A Motion was made by Commissioner <br />McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Massey and unanimously carried <br />that Alfred H. Webber, Deputy Clerk and Paul D. Burch, Attorney <br />to the Board, research the financial and legal aspects to the <br />matter and report again to the Board at the next regular meeting. <br />John Odgen, President, and other members of the Rockridge <br />Property Owners Association appeared before the Board in regard <br />to financing for street Lighting in Rockridge. They were referred <br />by the Attorney to the Board to peruse Chapter 61-2277, Laws of <br />Florida, 1961, to be found in the office of the Clerk. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Loy, it was unanimously carried that the Administrator <br />be authorized to use County equipment to set pilings, furnished <br />by the Florida Forestry Service, in the Donald Macdonald Park. <br />The Administrator reported that he had received requests <br />from ranchers, the South Puerto Rican Sugar Company, Hibiscus Grange, <br />Mayor Frisby -and others in the Fellsmere area regarding the <br />condition of State Road 512. A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, <br />seconded by Commissioner Massey and unanimously carried that the <br />request of the Administrator to travel to Fort Lauderdale to confer <br />with the State Department of Transportation, in regard to the <br />matter, is approved. <br />6 <br />Fred Warner appeared before the Board in regard to the <br />removal of junked cars from his property. Mr. Warner had received <br />a letter from the Attorney to the Board stating that he had thirty <br />days to remove the cars or civil action would be taken, and he <br />came before the Board for the purpose of requesting an extension <br />of the 30 days. The Administrator reported that ihe'was requesting <br />a conference with Gordon Chaffee, Contractor to the County f9T <br />removal of junked cars; and Mr. Warner was requested to reappear <br />! tt nt 2 1 —7n <br />
