3
Issues
• County has no fill available for the project .
Addendum # 1
• Plans showing sections for the lake will be provided .
• Quantities to delete internal sidewalks with the exception of Lot 24 which
is common area . The sidewalk repair on 81St Street will remain . This will
reduce the Engineer ' s Original Estimate to $ 296 , 657 . 50 .
Other Issues
• Access to the north through Paladin Place , will be blocked off. All access
will be through 81 st Street as it is today . Access to the site in the future may
change .
• The FP & L account is still in the Home Owner ' s Association name . There is
power for the irrigation today and the County will make every effort to keep
it on .
• Mowing , clearing and grubbing areas are located in the landscape buffers ,
around the fire hydrants , and around the fill areas on the western lots .
These areas are located in the cross sections of the plans .
• One square yard of asphalt is correctly itemized on the cost estimate .
• There is a dirt berm across Grayson . This area was used while transporting
fill . The asphalt will need to be checked in this area .
• No off site tracking or soil erosion onto roadways ,
• Two different fill units are in the cost estimate . One amount is for the
hauling of existing fill and the second is for fill to be brought in .
• Existing vegetation should be removed before placing fill .
• The number of Florida # 1 trees and shrubs are an estimated quantity on the
bid line items .
• It is suggested that the Contractor should do one mowing before calling
Code . The mowing will make it clear as to the quantity of shrubs that need
to be replaced .
• The subdivision has never passed the Utility Inspection . Punch list items
were never addressed ; these items are listed in the bid set .
• There is a bid line item for the subdivision to be re - TV ' ed .
• If there are repair items outside the ones listed on the bid line items , they
will fall under the Force Account .
• When checking the sewer lines it would be of best interest to have an
Engineering Inspector and Utilities Inspector on site . This will help with any
questions you may have about cleaning the laterals out .
• At one time the irrigation system was checked and in place . There were no
gaps in the system but not all heads were working . After checking it a
second time , it was found that there wasn ' t any suction in the pond pump
suction line . Checking the system is recommended before bidding . The
breaker is off now , after checking the system it is requested you return the
breaker to the off position .
F : \ Engineering \ Land Development Permits\Quail Creek PD1Pre- bid Meeting Minutes 11 -3-2010 . doc
