Sector 3 Beach & Dune Restoration Project Attachment 1 to Change Order No . I <br /> CONTRACTOR shall suspend transport operations and promptly repair <br /> equipment or change operations so as to prevent spillage prior to resumption of <br /> transport operations . The CONTRACTOR shall supply beach compatible sand , <br /> which must be consistent with (a) the CONTRACTOR ' s proposed bid material as <br /> identified in the Table below, and (b) the document titled " Sediment Quality <br /> Control / Quality Assurance Plan — Upland Source" . <br /> Contractor ' s Bid Sand <br /> ------------------------------------------ <br /> U land Sand Mine Median grain - size Overfill Factor <br /> "Ranch Road Lake" 0 . 43 mm 1 . 00 <br /> "Fischer 86"" ' 0 . 33 mm 1 . 05 <br /> For sand fill from the "Ranch Road Lake " mine, the CONTRACTOR shall <br /> supply sand fill with : <br /> s a median grain size of no less than 0 . 41mm ( 10 % less than the <br /> CONTRACTOR ' s offer of 0 . 43mm) and a Overfill Factor no greater than <br /> 1 . 10 ( 10% _greater than the CONTRACTOR' s Bid) for any group of <br /> samples obtained and analyzed which represent a single stockpile at the <br /> Upland mine prior to transport to the Project fill area . <br /> • in aggregate for all samples a average median grain size of 0 . 43mm for <br /> the entirety of the Project . <br /> For sand fill from the "Fischer 86t" " mine the CONTRACTOR shall supply sand <br /> fill with : <br /> • a median grain size of no less than 0 . 30mm ( 10 % less than the <br /> CONTRACTOR ' s offer of 0 . 33mm) and a Overfill Factor no greater than <br /> 1 . 15 ( 10% greater than the CONTRACTOR ' s Bid) for any group of <br /> samples obtained and analyzed which represent a single stockpile at the <br /> upland mine prior to transport to the Project fill area. <br /> • in aggregate for all samples a average median grain size of 0 . 33mm for <br /> the entirety of the Project <br /> Item 6 : Technical Specifications — Section 5 . 3 Unacceptable Material , Rock, Rubble or Debris <br /> Section 5 .3 is amended as follows : <br /> 5 .3 Unacceptable Material, Rock, Rubble or Debris . It is the responsibility of the <br /> CONTRACTOR to supply beach compatible Faa4erial eensJ« �with the <br /> Plan . sand. , <br /> which must be consistent with (a) the CONTRACTOR' s proposed bid material as <br /> identified in the Table above and (b) the document titled " Sediment Quality <br /> Control / Quality Assurance Plan — Upland Source" . <br /> Samples of the fill will be collected and tested by the CONTRACTOR per the <br /> Sediment QA- QC Plan in Attachment 3 throughout the construction .
