<br /> B . The Contractor shall employ a disinfection method approved by the Engineer and Owner,
<br /> and shall fully satisfy the Owner that adequate disinfection has been achieved prior to
<br /> placing a facility on -line .
<br /> Co The Contractor, in the presence of the Owner, will be responsible for the collection of all
<br /> water samples . The samples shall be collected in accordance with best management
<br /> processes in Chapter 17 - 550, 17 - 555 and 17 - 560 , F . A . C . and submitted to a NELAC
<br /> approved analytical laboratory for analyses of the required constituents .
<br /> D . The cost of all disinfection work shall be included in the Lump Sum Bid and the
<br /> kule
<br /> Contractor shall pay for all bacteriological clearance tests .
<br /> 1 . 27 SERVICES OF MANUFACTURERS ' FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
<br /> A . Bid prices of equipment furnished under Divisions 11 , 15 and 16 shall include the cost of
<br /> a competent field service technician of the Manufacturers of all equipment to supervise
<br /> the installation , adjustment, and testing of the equipment and to instruct the Owner' s
<br /> operating personnel on operation and maintenance . The approved Manufacturer' s
<br /> operation and maintenance data as specified in Section 01730 shall be delivered to the
<br /> Engineer prior to instructing the Owner' s personnel . This supervision may be divided into
<br /> two or more time periods as required by the installation program or as directed by the
<br /> Engineer. In n
<br /> In B . After installation of the equipment has been completed and the equipment is presumably
<br /> ready for operation , but before it is operated by others , the Manufacturer' s field service
<br /> technician shall inspect, operate , test and adjust the equipment . The inspection shall
<br /> include at least the following points where applicable :
<br /> I . Soundness (without cracked or otherwise damaged parts) .
<br /> 2 . Completeness in all details , as specified and required.
<br /> 3 . Correctness of setting, alignment, and relative arrangement of various parts .
<br /> 4 . Adequacy and correctness of packing, sealing, and lubricants .
<br /> 5 . Calibration and adjustment of all related instrumentation and controls .
<br /> 6 . Energize equipment .
<br /> I An 7 . Deficiency correction
<br /> 8 . Demonstration of compliance with application performance specification .
<br /> co The operation , testing, and adjustment shall be as required to prove that the equipment
<br /> has been left in proper condition for satisfactory operation under the conditions specified.
<br /> D . Upon completion of this work, the Manufacturer' s field service technician shall submit , in
<br /> triplicate, to the Engineer a complete, signed report of the results of his inspection ,
<br /> operation , adjustments, and tests . The report shall include detailed descriptions of the
<br /> points inspected , tests and adjustments made, quantitative results obtained if such are
<br /> specified, and suggestions for precautions to be taken to ensure proper maintenance .
<br /> E . Each equipment Manufacturer shall provide instruction to the Owner' s operating
<br /> personnel . Training shall not be performed until the requirements of paragraph B , C and
<br /> D above have been fully satisfied and any specified performance testing completed.
