ATTACHED. <br />CHAIRMAN Loy STATED THAT THIS MUST BE HOW COUNCILMAN <br />CAMPBELL IS KEEPING US IN LINE. <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS ENTERED THE MEETING AT 8:00 <br />O'CLOCK P.M. <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY RAISED THE POSSIBILITY OF OPERATING <br />THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT ON A FEE BASIS. HE QUESTIONED,' <br />"WOULD YOU BE BETTER OFF TO HAVE JUST ONE BOSS AND INCLUDE THE <br />ENTIRE COUNTY",, <br />MR. BRENNAN ASKED WHETHER OR NOT THE CITIES WOULD <br />PARTICIPATE. COMMISSIONER MASSEY REPLIED, "YES, IF THEY WANTED <br />TO AM ONLY SUGGESTING THAT THE COUNTY HAVE ONE PLANNING <br />DEPARTMENT FOR THE ENTIRE COUNTY". <br />MR. BRENNAN STATED THAT IT IS A POSSIBILITY I AND <br />ALTHOUGH HE FELT THAT EVEN THOUGHIT WOULD TAKE MORE TIME TO <br />BILL THE CITIES FOR SERVICES RENDERED IT WOULD COST LESS TO <br />OPERATE THE DEPARTMENT. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY THEN STATED THAT IT WAS HER OPINION THAT <br />PLANNING IS NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER, AND HER POSITION WOULD BE <br />THAT IF THE COUNTY PAID 60% OF THE,COST THEN 60% OF THE WORK <br />SHOULD BE DONE IN THE COUNTY. <br />MR. BRENNAN STATED HE FELT THAT THE FEES SHOULD <br />GO TO THE DEPARTMENT INVOLVED IN EACH STUDY. <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY THEN ASKED MAYOR ZIMMER HOW MANY <br />LOTS WERE THEREIN SEBASTIAN THAT WERE ON PAVED STREETS, MAYOR <br />ZIMMER STATED THAT THERE WERE 14 TO 15 THOUSAND'.* BOTH COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, AND MAYOR ZIMMER FELT THAT THERE WOULD BE MUCH BUILDING ON <br />THESE LOTS IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND WOULD PROBABLY NEED THE SERVICES <br />OF THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT*.' <br />MR.
