Comprehensive Plan Intergovernmental Coordination Element <br />Minimize stormwater runoff <br />Install baffle boxes <br />cleanup muck damage <br />Reduce discharge from the C-54 Canal, the Fellsmere Water Control District (FWCD), the <br />Indian River Farm Water Control District (IRFWCD), and the Sebastian River Water Control <br />District (SRWCD) <br />Expand education <br />Obtain Indian River Lagoon license plate funds/secure grants <br />Establish Pollutant Load Reduction Goals (PLRGs) for nutrients and solids <br />The Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program is now part of St. Johns River Water <br />Management District's Indian River Lagoon Program. <br />The complex problem of management of the Indian River Lagoon is reflected in the large number of <br />governmental agencies and entities that have authority and responsibility within its basin. Matrix B <br />shows the major issues identified by the IRLNEP and the agencies playing a role in management of <br />the Lagoon.
