<br />THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO INCLUDE A "RENEWAL
<br />CLAUSE"a
<br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS THERE
<br />HAS BEEN A NUMBER OF TAX CERTIFICATES THAT WERE NOT BOUGHT BY THE
<br />PUBLIC AT THE TIME THE TAX COLLECTOR HELD NIS AUTION. AFTER THE
<br />TAX SALE CERTIFICATE IS TWO YEARS OLD, THE COUNTY CAN APPLY FOR THE
<br />TAX DEED. THERE WERE 14 CERTIFICATES FROM 1970,1971 AND 1972
<br />ONE WAS REDEEMED AND THE COUNTY SHOULD APPLY FOR THE TAX DEED ON THE
<br />REMAINING 13 CERTIFICATES.
<br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER
<br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED TWO CHECKS FOR COSTS
<br />AND FEES BE ISSUED ONE PAYABLE TO RALPH HARRIS, CLERK, IN THE AMOUNT
<br />OF $357.50 AND ONE PAYABLE TO GENE MORRIS, TAX COLLECTOR, IN. THE
<br />AMOUNT OF $325.00 AND THE ATTORNEY PROCEED WITH TAX DEED APPLICATIONS
<br />ON THE REMAINING 13 CERTIFICATES.
