nu <br />2 <br />JESSE WASHBURN OF 2050 1414TH AVENUE.CAME FORWARD AND STATED <br />THAT HE BOUGHT HIS PROPERTY FROM MRS. CRUZE AND HAS LIVED THERE SINCE <br />THE FALL OF 1968. HE INFORMED THE BOARD THAT WHEN HE BOUGHT THIS PRO— <br />PERTY, MRS, CRUZE HAD A FEW PLANTS ON HER PROPERTY, A SMALL PILE OF SAND <br />AND SOME HIBISCUS IN QUART CANS, COVERING AN AREA 10'OR 15'r SQUARE, <br />AS FAR AS HE KNEW, SHE WAS NOT SELLING ANY PLANTS AT THAT TIME, BUT HE <br />COULD NOT STATE THAT SHE DID OR DID NOT, HE NOTED THAT HE HAD THOUGHT <br />IT SEEMED MORE LIKE A HOBBY, <br />ATTORNEY O TE ILL ASKED IMR , WASHBURN IF THERE WERE THEN ANY <br />SIGNS ADVERTISING PLANTS FOR SALE, WHETHER MRS. CRUZE HAD LARGE SACKS <br />OF FERTILIZER OR STATUARY FOR SALE, AND WHETHER SHE HIRED ANY EMPLOYEES, <br />MR. WASHBURN STATED THAT NONE OF THESE THINGS WERE THERE WHEN <br />HE BOUGHT HIS PROPERTY, AND MRS. CRUZE ALONE WORKED WITH THE PLANTS ON <br />HER PROPERTY AT THAT TIME; NOW, HOWEVER, HE SEES A LOT OF PEOPLE WORKING <br />ON THE PROPERTY, AND THERE ARE TWO TRUCKS ON THE PREMISES THAT SAY <br />"GOLF ACRES NURSERY." <br />ATTORNEY O TEILL PRESENTED TO THE BOARD RECENT PICTURES OF <br />THE PROPERTY AND ASKED MR. WASHBURN IF HE WAS AWARE OF THE ZONING CHA14GE <br />FROM R-1 TO R -2A MADE IN 1969 SO THAT IMRS. CRUZE COULD BUILD A DUPLEX ON <br />HER PROPERTY, <br />MR. WASHBURN STATED THAT HE WAS, AND AT MRS. CRUZE'S REQUEST, <br />HAD WRITTEN THE ZONING BOARD THAT -HE HAD NO OBJECTION TO THE ZONING <br />CHANGE. <br />ATTORNEY O'NEILL POINTED OUT THAT MR, WASHBURN HAD NO OBJECTIONS <br />AS THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WITH A COMMERCIAL NURSERY AT THAT TIME. ATTORNEY <br />O'NEILL THEN ASKED MR. WASHBURN IF THERE HAS BEEN A SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE <br />IN PEOPLE COMING TO.THE PROPERTY TO BUY PLANTS AND ALSO WHETHER MRS. CRUZE <br />HAS EXPANDED OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DRAINAGE DISTRICT RIGHT—OF--WAY. <br />MR.
