0 <br />a <br />-v <br />y <br />FEASIBLE TO DEVELOP THIS PROPERTY, <br />CHAIRMAN VIODTKE DISCUSSED THE HIGHEST AND BEST USE OF <br />THIS PROPERTY, AND THE BOARD GENERALLY FELT IT WOULD BE R-lE, <br />SINCE IT DOES NOT APPEAR IT CAN BE USED FOR AGRICULTURE. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS NOTED•THAT EVEN.IT IF WERE DETERMINED <br />THAT IT IS ECONOMICALLY UNFEASIBLE TO GO AHEAD, R-lE IS THE <br />NEXT.BEST HOLDING PATTERN TO AGRICULTURE. _ <br />MOTION WAS,MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COM- <br />MISSIQNER Loy TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 78-13 REZONING TO R-lE. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER STATED THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO <br />VOTE AGAINST THE MOTION BECAUSE HE DOES NOT FEEL IT IS <br />FEASIBLE TO DEVELOP THE LAND. <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED HOW THIS REZONING FITS IN WITH THE <br />MASTER PLAN. <br />MR. BERG POINTED OUT THAT IF THIS LAND CANNOT BE USED, <br />HE FEELS IT WILL TURN INTO A DUMP AREA. HE NOTED THAT REZONING <br />TO R -1E WOULD NOT ONLY PROHIBIT ANY FURTHER REMOVAL OF FILL BUT <br />WOULD REQUIRE FILLING, WHICH HE FELT WOULD BE AN IMPROVEMENT. <br />HE FURTHER NOTED THAT AS LONG AS THE FILL IS KEPT ON THE LAND, <br />THE LAKE CAN BE DUG DEEPER TO PROVIDE THIS FILL. MR, BERG WAS <br />OF THE OPINION THAT REZONING WOULD PROTECT THE AREA MORE THAN <br />LEAVING IT THE WAY IT IS. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER ASKED MR. WILMOTH IF HE FELT <br />HE COULD FEASIBLY DEVELOP THE ACREAGE INTO RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY, <br />A AND HE STATED THAT HE DID.. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
