6 <br />ENCLOSURE 1 i <br />% ° <br />Wkn LANDFILLS <br />1. <br />Roseland - just north of County Transfer Station on east <br />' <br />side of road has been cleaned up. Belongs to AAA Septic <br />:► <br />Tanks. Mr. MacNanamy and myself talked and asked the. <br />I <br />president of AAA, Septic Tanks to clean it up and he has done <br />go. <br />o <br />2. <br />Hobart Road''k mile west of Lateral A and just north df Hobart <br />•° <br />Road, subject is still in full operation even has signs posted <br />for different tree removal services. I have talked to the <br />' <br />subject myself - nothing happened. I took Mr. MacNanamy and <br />we both talked to him again. He is still in business. <br />3. <br />Lateral A between Lindsey Road -and Kingsbury in wooded area <br />, <br />just west of Lateral A large piles of tree stumps. I followed <br />` <br />large truck to this area where I observed several large piles <br />of tree stumps. Cabbage palms. Talked to the driver of <br />General Services Co. Called on my Sheriff's Radio and they <br />called General Services and found out that they had permission <br />to dump. <br />, <br />4. <br />U. S. 1 at Old Race Tract west off U. S. 1 on Lindsey Road. <br />Followed road back to race track,• being dumped is, stone sheet <br />metal, wall board, tree stumps, filling in water holes. U.S. <br />1 and Lindsey Road - I followed large truck to this area with <br />tree stumps and observed a watery area with. concrete, wood <br />• <br />sheet metal and a lot of contractor. supplies being dumped in <br />the.low areas. <br />5..- <br />mile west of -43rd Avenue on North Gifford Road behind Coast <br />Auto Salvage-lumbe r and large tree stumps being dumped in lake. <br />Assistant County Administrator, Mr. Nelson, called me on truck <br />radio that a truck was losing boards on 43rd Avenue going <br />.north. When I arrived at the scene on North Gifford Mr. Nelson <br />was questioning the subject. And he said Global Paving Con- <br />tractor was filling in a lake in behind Coast Auto Falvage. <br />r <br />6. <br />II.S. 60 and 80th Avenue,large stumps, limbs, cabbage palms <br />being dumped. 'Dir. Nelson directed myself and Mr. McNanamy - we <br />' <br />both observed the several piles of large trees and tree stumps <br />and some were dumpted very recently. They are still there. <br />7. <br />Dodger Pines Country Club - followed three white males loaded <br />_ <br />with pines to this area and observed them dumping. 'I asked <br />if they had permission and they said they did. I also observed <br />a large. pile of used lumber, old old gulf carts, several piles <br />of concrete, refrigerators, stoves, wire fencing etc. I went <br />to the supervisor at the sports compound and he said they <br />had permission to dump. He also told me 3 weeks ago he <br />would have it all cleaned up -within a week, but it is still <br />there. • <br />OCT 181978 % a1�FAU <br />
