PLANNING DIRECTOR REDICK AGREED AND EXPRESSED CONCERN ABOUT <br />THE SITUATION, BUT NOTED THAT.YOU MUST CONSIDER THE VESTED RIGHTS ON <br />THE NORTH SIDE OF THE ROAD. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE FELT THAT WITH THE COMMERCIAL AREA OUT AT <br />4-95, THERE IS NOT A NEED FOR AN ADDITIONAL 100 ACRES -OF COMMERCIAL. <br />PLANNING DIRECTOR REDICK STATED THAT THEY ARE RESTUDYING <br />THE NEEDS AT THE PRESENT TIME. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER AGREED WITH CHAIRMAN WODTKE AND STATED <br />HE DID NOT PARTICULARLY LIKE THE LOCATION OF THE COMMERCIAL ACROSS THE <br />STREET AND DOWN THE SIDE STREET, <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED IF THE BOARD CAN HOLD THIS ITEM UNTIL <br />THEY HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THE ACTUAL REZONING IN THAT AREA ONE WAY OR THE <br />OTHER. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS FELT THE BOARD, IF THEY WISHED, COULD REJECT <br />THE RECOMMENDATION, HOLD IT IN ABEYANCE, AND THEN PUBLISH AN ORDINANCE <br />CHANGE.AND DEAL WITH IT AT THAT TIME. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY FELT THAT WAY THE BOARD WOULD BE GETTING THE <br />MASTER PLAN MORE IN COMPLIANCE AND MAKING IT MORE COMPATIBLE. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER'S MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LOY,, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO TAKE NO ACTION ON ITEM #4 <br />AND DELETE IT FROM THE AGENDA. <br />THE PLANNING DIRECTOR HAD NO COMMENT ON ITEM #6. <br />MR. REDICK STATED THAT ITEM #8 CONCERNS MCKEE .JUNGLE GARDENS <br />AND IS GENERALLY IN CONCURRENCE WITH THE REZONING WE HAVE RECENTLY GONE <br />THROUGH. <br />ITEM #10 CONCERNS THE HIBISCUS AIRPORT AND DIXIE HIGHWAY. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED ABOUT THE OLD HIBISCUS AIRPORT AREA, <br />NOTING THAT SOME COMMERCIAL IS REDUCED AND SOME IS REMOVED. SHE ASKED <br />IF THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE A LOT OF NONCONFORMITY ALONG DIXIE HIGHWAY. <br />y <br />6 PLANNING DIRECTOR REDICK STATED THAT IT WOULD CAUSE SOME. <br />MOBILE HOMES WOULD BE A NON -CONFORMING USE. <br />ON ITEM #11, PLANNING DIRECTOR REDICK INFORMED THE BOARD THAT <br />THEY HAD A CASE COME BEFORE THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT WHERE A MOBILE HOME <br />HAD BEEN EXPANDED SOMEWHAT ILLEGALLY, AND IN LOOKING AT THE AREA, THEY <br />DISCOVERED THAT HERE THE PROPOSED MASTER PLAN CHANGE WAS TO CHANGE <br />37 <br />1 <br />37 <br />%45 <br />
