/ � v <br />1. SCHEMATIC DESIGN OF MODIFICATIONS AND SITE <br />•a <br />WORK FOR THE FOLLOWING BUILDINGS: <br />a. Old Indian River Memorial Hospital Building <br />b. Indian River County Courthouse Building <br />c. Courthouse Annex Building <br />FOR USE AS ADMINISTRATIVE AND COURT -SPACES BY <br />THE COUNTY, AND OTHER AGENCIES INCLUDING°THE <br />COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD. <br />Schematic Design will include the following: <br />1.1 The Architect will review the Space Program <br />prepared by it as a part of the Facilities Plan • <br />with all the agencies planned to be located in <br />these building and obtain necessary design <br />guidelines and review understanding of such <br />requirements with.the Owner. <br />1.2 The Architect will evaluate and review with the <br />Owner alternative approaches to design and con- <br />struction of modifications to these buildings. <br />1.3 The Architect will prepare, for approval by the <br />Owner, Schematic Design Documents consisting of <br />drawings and other documents illustrating the <br />scale and relationship of all components to be <br />located in these buildings based on the Space <br />Program and the Project budget requirements. <br />2. AS BUILT DRAWINGS OF EXISTING FACILITIES: <br />The.Architect will provide services to investigate <br />existing conditions in the above mentioned <br />County buildings or, to make measured drawings <br />thereof, or to verify the accuracy of drawings <br />furnished by the Owner. <br />III. PERIOD OF SERVICE <br />K <br />A. The ARCHITECT will begin to work promptly after re- <br />ceipt of a fully executed copy of this Agreement; such receipt <br />shall constitute written notice to proceed. Development of the <br />Schematic Plan is scheduled to be completed within eight (8) <br />weeks of notice. <br />IV. METHOD OF COMPENSATION <br />A. TIME CHARGES. The OWNER agrees to compensate the <br />ARCHITECT for the professional services called for under this <br />•ti Agreement by taking the direct salary expense of all those <br />persons engaged directly on the ONWER'S work and adding a sur- <br />charge of 187 percent for overhead and profit for time <br />directly chargeable to the project.
