He <br />clarified for Commissioner O'Bryan the offsite mitigation issues. <br />Bob Johnson, Coral Wind Subdivision, inquired of the status of the South <br />County Initiative; requested to see a diagram of the initiative; asked whether 27th Avenue would <br />ever be widened; and suggested this approval be tabled and a presentation be made on the whole <br />South County Initiative to the Board, and then see how this development fits in with all the <br />concepts. <br />Director Boling, in response to Mr. Johnson said (1) the South County Initiative is <br />essentially a small area plan that is immediately west of the subject project, therefore, all the <br />project designs and conditions that have been approved conform to that. The Plan remains in <br />place whether there are project changes or not. (2) The diagram would be e-mailed to Mr. <br />Johnson; and (3) 27th Aveenue is on the MPO's Long Range Transportation Plan and is on the <br />County's Thoroughfare Plan to be widened, but is not currently happening in the near future, <br />particularly the southern part. <br />Director Boling answered other questions regarding the parks to the north and the <br />width of lots, and density of plats to the south versus the north. <br />February 17, 2009 19 <br />
