<br />The Chairman opened the public hearing. There were no speakers and the Chairman <br />closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowden, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance No. 2005-042 amending the text of the <br />Comprehensive Plan’s Conservation Element and Coastal <br />Management Element; and providing severability and <br />effective date. <br /> <br />9.A.8. PUBLIC HEARING – CONSIDERATION OF DECLARING A <br />MORATORIUM ON SMALL LOT SINGLE-FAMILY <br />SUBDIVISIONS (LEGISLATIVE) <br />PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br /> <br />County Attorney Collins explained and reviewed the memorandum. He stated it <br />gives time for the County to make provisions that only affordable housing would be built in small <br />th <br />lot subdivisions. He would bring this back to the Board on October 4 if they are agreeable. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Joseph Paladin <br />, Chairman of the Growth Awareness Committee, gave reasons for <br />recommending this moratorium. <br /> <br />There were no additional speakers and the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />September 13, 2005 32 <br /> <br />
