BOX 2766 <br />VERO BEACH, FLORIDA 32960 <br />TELEPHONE 562-4177 <br />562-4178 <br />September 2, 1980 <br />Mr. Ed Regan, Director <br />Community Development <br />Program <br />800 20th Place <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Dear Mr. Regan; <br />Persuant to our conversation last Friday at your office, please <br />be advised of the following time frame and logistics regarding <br />implementation of our proposed Summer Youth Program. <br />Our agency is in receipt of a one time federal summer youth <br />grant for $6,000, deposited in our local account which must be <br />expended by September 30, 1980. <br />We propose to expend these funds after review by your department, <br />the County Planning Department, local civic groups cn playground <br />equipment supplied by a reputable recreational equipment manu- <br />facturer for assembly and set up on a permanent site in the <br />Gifford Park. <br />Upon delivery of the playground modules, the EOC Planning Depart- <br />ment is hopeful that suitable safe storage might be made avail- <br />able at the Indian River County vehicle barn prior to assembly <br />and set up. <br />The proposed force will be provided by a joint venture of the <br />Gifford Progressive Civic League and the Gifford Chapter of <br />Jay-cees International. The back up labor force will be pro- <br />vided by'summer youth workers of the Florida Farmworkers Council.- <br />under <br />ouncil:under their supervisory personnel.
