COMMISSIONER ITEMS <br />4.A. COMMISSIONER PETER D. O'BRYAN, CHAIRMAN <br />4.A.1. MODIFICATION OF RESOLUTION 2009-033, SECTION 3, TO INCLUDE <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AS OFFICERS OF THE COUNTY ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />Chairman O'Bryan was recently asked by the Principal of a technology partner for <br />assistance in meeting with our Congressional Senators in Washington, D.C., and conveyed that <br />he would help with the introductions. He reported that over the past three months, Helene <br />Caseltine, Economic Development Director for the Indian River Chamber of Commerce, and he <br />had been meeting with company representatives who were interested in locating their <br />manufacturing company in Vero Beach. He related that he would not be available, and that <br />Legal staff advised him that the Board may want to consider modifying Resolution 2009-033, <br />Section 3, in order to send Commissioner Davis in his place to Washington, D.C. to make the <br />introductions, and to keep the name of the company confidential. - <br />Discussion ensued among the Commissioners and staff regarding this request. <br />2 <br />February 22, 2010 <br />Special Call Meeting <br />
