There were no speakers. <br />HOUSING ELEMENT - CHAPTER 7 <br />(Clerk's Note: This item was heard commencing at 9:12 a.m., following Transportation <br />Element — Chapter 4, and is placed here for continuity). <br />Director Keating outlined the following policy to expedite affordable housing project <br />reviews, found under Objective 1, as follows: <br />OBJECTIVE 1 Housing Affordability <br />By 2020, the number of owner -occupied households paying more than 30% of their <br />income for housing will be less than the 19% of owner -occupied households paying more <br />than 30% of their income for housing in 2000, while, the number of renter -occupied <br />households paying more than 30% of their income for rent will be less than the 39% of <br />renter -occupied households who paid more than 30% of their income for rent in 2000. <br />POLICY 1.6: The County shall take all necessary steps to eliminate delays in the review <br />of affordable housing development projects. In order to define delay, the County hereby <br />establishes the following maximum timeframes for approval of projects when an <br />applicant provides needed information in a timely manner <br />21 <br />April 19, 2010 <br />
