m <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE WONDERED IF A DECISION WAS TO BE MADE <br />TO PANEL THE JUDGES ROOM, WOULD IT BE NECESSARY TO DRYWALL FIRST? <br />AND NOISE. <br />MR. KONTOULAS REPLIED THAT IT WAS, BECAUSE OF THE DENSITY <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT SUGGESTED THEY DRYWALL THE WHOLE AREA AND <br />APPLY THE PANELING ANYTIME OVER THE DRYWALL; IN OTHER WORDS, THEY <br />SHOULD GET THE JOB DONE. <br />COMMISSIONER-WODTKE NOTED THAT SOME OF THE SPECIFICATIONS <br />CALL FOR LEAVING WALLS WITH THE EXISTING FINISH, AND SOME CALL FOR <br />DRYWALL. IF THE BOARD WANTS TO DRYWALL EVERYTHING, HE SUGGESTED <br />NOTIFYING THE ARCHITECT OF THIS FACT SO IT CAN BE PRICED OUT, ETC. <br />MR. REINHOLD STATED THAT THEY WERE UNDER A FIXED PRICE <br />CONTRACT TO DO A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF WORK. HE CONTINUED THAT HE IS <br />NOT TRYING TO BE OBSTRUCTIVE BUT THEY DO NEED TO HAVE WRITTEN <br />DIRECTION; HE TRIES TO BASE HIS BUSINESS ON THE WRITTEN WORD, NOT ON <br />THE SPOKEN WORD. MR. REINHOLD NOTED THAT THEY HAVE DIRECTION TO <br />DRYWALL CERTAIN AREAS BUT NOT IN THE COURTROOM. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED ABOUT THE CONTRACT WITH THE ARCHITECT <br />AND WHETHER IT WAS OUTLINED AS TO THE AMOUNT OF TIME THEY HAVE TO <br />RESPOND TO A REQUEST. <br />MR. KONTOULAS ADVISED THAT IT WAS TO BE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE; <br />THERE IS NO DEFINITE TIME LIMIT. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY REMINDED THE BOARD THAT BEFORE ANY DECISION <br />WAS MADE AS TO THE DRYWALL OR HAVING THE COURTROOM PANELED, THEY <br />SHOULD REMEMBER THE DAY THE MAN FROM THE BAR ASSOCIATION SUGGESTED <br />THE JUDGES CHAMBERS BE MADE EXTREMELY PRESENTABLE BECAUSE THEY WOULD <br />BE IN USE FOR 50 YEARS OR SO. <br />DISCUSSION THEN ENSUED ABOUT THE TYPE OF PANELING THAT <br />COULD BE USED FOR THE COURTROOM AREA. <br />MR. REINHOLD GAVE AN EXAMPLE OF A NEIGHBORING COUNTY USING <br />A PHOTOGRAPHIC FINISH WALL PANELING IN THEIR COURTROOM AND IT DOES <br />NOT LOOK VERY GOOD. IF THEY HAD SPENT $40 A SHEET FOR ONE OF THE <br />WALLS AND PUT VINYL ON THE OTHER THREE WALLS, THEY WOULD HAVE HAD <br />A MUCH BETTER JOB. <br />OCT $1980 81 Bonx ' pAuz 877 <br />
