Drainage Basin - The area defined by topographic boundaries which <br />contributes stormwater to a drainage system, estuarine waters, or <br />oceanic waters, including all areas artificially added to the <br />basin. <br />Drainage Detention Structure - A structure which collects and <br />temporarily stores stormwater for the purpose of treatment through <br />physical, chemical, or biological processes with subsequent gradual <br />release of the stormwater. <br />Drainage Facilities - A system of man-made structures designed to <br />collect, convey, hold, divert or discharge stormwater, and includes <br />stormwater sewers, canals, detention structures, and retention <br />structures. <br />Drainage Retention Structure - <br />prevent the release of a given <br />site storage. <br />Drainage System (Artificial) <br />storm sewer or other man-made <br />surface flow of water. <br />A structure designed to collect and <br />amount of stormwater by complete on- <br />- Any canal, ditch, culvert, dike, <br />facility which tends to control the <br />Drainage System (Natural) - Surface streams or marshes which <br />convey water to natural points of drainage. <br />Drive -In Business - An establishment, which serves, sells or <br />otherwise makes available its services to patrons situated in <br />automobiles. <br />Drive-in Facility - An establishment that, by design of physical <br />facilities or by service or packaging procedures, encourages or <br />permits customers to receive a service or obtain a product that may <br />be used or consumed in a motor vehicle on the premises or to be <br />entertained while remaining in an automobile. <br />Drive-in Theater - See Commercial Amusements, Unenclosed. <br />Driveway - Every entrance or exit used by vehicular traffic to or <br />from properties adjoining roadways. <br />Driveway, Divided - A driveway so designated that traffic entering <br />it is separated from traffic leaving it by a raised median or <br />physical barrier. <br />Driveway, Joint -Use - A driveway shared by two (2) adjoining <br />properties for connection to both properties. <br />Driveway Return Radius - A circular pavement transition between the <br />driveway and the highway for facilitating turning movements. <br />Driveway Width - Narrowest width of driveway measured perpendicular <br />to center line of driveway. <br />31 <br />
