Dune - A mound or ridge of loose sediments, usually sand -sized, <br />lying landward of the beach, and deposited by natural or artificial <br />means. <br />Dune Crossover Structure - Any structure, system or device utilized <br />for the purpose of traversing the primary dune area of the beach. <br />Dune Stabilization Setback Line (DSSL) - The county line of <br />regulatory prohibition as recorded on June 10, 1981 in Plat Book <br />10, Pages 93-93H, whereby no construction other than Florida <br />Department of Natural Resources and county approved coastal <br />stabilization projects or dune walkovers structures is allowed. <br />Duplex (Two Family Dwelling) - A residential building containing <br />only two (2) dwelling units. <br />Dwelling - A structure intended to be occupied primarily for <br />residential purposes. <br />Dwelling - Attached - A one -family dwelling attached to two or more <br />one family dwellings by common vertical walls. <br />Dwelling, Detached - A freestanding dwelling which is not attached <br />to any other dwelling by any structural means. <br />Dwelling - Multiple Family - A residential building containing two <br />(2) or more dwelling units. <br />Dwelling - Seasonal - A dwelling not used for permanent residence <br />and not occupied for more than six month in each year. <br />Dwelling - Single Family - A building designed for or occupied <br />exclusively by one family as a single housekeeping unit. A single <br />family dwelling shall not include a mobile home. <br />Dwelling, Triplex - A structure containing three (3) dwelling <br />units. <br />Dwelling Unit - One (1) or more rooms in a residential building or <br />residential portion of a building which are arranged, designed, <br />used or intended for use as a complete, independent living facility <br />for no more than one (1) family, and which includes permanent <br />provisions for living, sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation. <br />The room(s) shall provide direct access to the outside or to a <br />public hallway. <br />Dwelling Unit - Efficiency - A dwelling unit consisting of not more <br />than one habitable room together with kitchen or kitchenette and <br />sanitary facilities. <br />Easement - The right of a person, government agency, or public <br />utility company to use public or private land owned by another for <br />a specific purpose. <br />32 <br />
