Floor Area Ratio - A measure determined by dividing the gross floor <br />area of all buildings on a lot by the area of that lot. <br />Floor Area - Gross - The sum of the total horizontal areas of <br />several floors of all buildings on a lot, measured from the <br />exterior faces of exterior walls. The gross floor area shall <br />include basement; elevator shafts; stairwells at each story; floor <br />space used for mechanical equipment with structural headroom of six <br />feet, six inches or more; penthouses; attic space, whether or not <br />a floor has actually been laid, providing structural headroom of <br />six feet, six inches or more; interior balconies; and mezzanines. <br />Floor Area - The area included within the outside dimensions of all <br />enclosed floor area under roof, excluding garages, open and <br />screened porches, carports, terraces, and patios. <br />Floor, Lowest - See Lowest Floor. <br />Force Main - A pressurized segment of the distribution or <br />collection system. <br />Foster Home - A single family dwelling which provides a family <br />living environment including supervision and care necessary to meet <br />physical, emotional, and social life needs of clients. A foster <br />home may serve either children or adults. <br />Frontage - Lineal distance measured along abutting public or <br />private rights-of-way. <br />Frontage Street Facade - A building facade which fronts on a <br />street. If same shall be over thirty (30) feet high, only the <br />first thirty (30) feet of commercial facade shall be considered the <br />frontage street facade. <br />Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extraction - An activity that entails <br />squeezing fruit or vegetables with the specific end product being <br />fruit or vegetable juice. <br />Fruit and Vegetable Processing - An industrial activity resulting <br />in fruit or vegetable being changed from one form to another. <br />Processing will generally include subprocesses such as the addition <br />of other substances and will result in specific products such as <br />juice concentrate, pectin, and other by-products. <br />Fruit and Vegetable Stand - A building or structure used <br />exclusively for the retail sale of fruit, vegetables, jellies <br />and/or honey. <br />FSUTMS - The Florida Standard Urban Transportation Modeling System <br />adopted by the Florida Department of Transportation for use in <br />transportation planning modeling. <br />Fund - A fiscal and accounting entity with a self -balancing set of <br />accounts in which cash and other financial resources, all related <br />liabilities, and residual equities, or balances, and changes <br />therein, are recorded and segregated to carry on specific <br />37 <br />
