Maintain (Maintenance) - To keep in an acceptable state of <br />performance and repair and, when referring to the height of grasses <br />in a stormwater management tract or facility, means to keep at a <br />height of twelve (12) inches or less above the ground. <br />Maintenance Guarantee - A guarantee of facilities or work to ensure <br />the correction of any failures of any improvements required <br />pursuant to these land development regulations. <br />Major Intersection - The location at which two roadway segments <br />located on the Concurrency Determination Network cross or intersect <br />each other. <br />Major Road Network System - All arterial and collector roads within <br />Indian River County. Indian River County's major road network <br />system is designated in Figure 4.13.2, Thoroughfare Plan Map, and <br />listed in Tables 4.7.1-4.7.3 of the Traffic Circulation Element of <br />the Comprehensive Plan, which is incorporated herein by reference. <br />Major Structure - Residential buildings including mobile homes, <br />commercial, institutional, industrial and other construction having <br />the potential for substantial impact on coastal zones. <br />Major Structure, Nonhabitable - Structures including, but not <br />limited to, swimming pools; parking garages; pipelines, piers; <br />canals, lakes, ditches; water and sewage treatment plants; <br />electrical power plants; transmission and distribution lines; <br />transformer pads; vaults, and substations; roads, bridges, streets, <br />and highways; underground storage tanks; communications buildings <br />and towers; flagpoles and signs over fifteen (15) feet in height. <br />Major Trip Generators - Any land uses which are fairly compact in <br />size, have access to the county's transportation system, and <br />produce at least 2,500 average annual daily trips (AADT). <br />Mall, Regional - A retail shopping facility containing a minimum <br />of 400,000 square feet of gross leasable area. <br />Maneuvering - A series of changes in direction and positions. <br />Mangrove - Rooted trees and seedlings of the following species, but <br />only when having a coastal or estuarine association: <br />Red mangrove: Rhizophora mangle; <br />Black mangrove: Avicennia germinans; <br />White mangrove: Laquncularia racemosa; <br />Buttonwood or button mangrove: Conocarpus erecta <br />Mangrove Stand - An assemblage of one or more of the following <br />species: black mangrove (Avicennia germinans); red mangrove <br />(Rhizophora mangle); white mangrove (Lanquncularia racemosa); and <br />buttonwood (Conocarpus erecta). <br />Manufactured Home - A structure, transportable in one or more <br />sections, which is built on a permanent chassis and is designed for <br />use with or without a permanent foundation when connected to the <br />required utilities.
