any other land development activity involving a material change in
<br />the use or appearance of land.
<br />Non -Residential Districts - Zoning districts where residential
<br />uses, single-family or multiple -family, are not permitted as a
<br />principal use, such as but not limited to: OCR, PRO, MED, CVRP,
<br />CN, CL, CG, CH, IL, and IG.
<br />Nonconforming Building - Any building that does not meet the
<br />limitations on building size and location on a land parcel, for the
<br />district in which such building is located, for the use to which
<br />such building is being put.
<br />Nonconforming Use - A use or activity which was lawful prior to the
<br />adoption, revision or amendment of land development regulations,
<br />but which would be prohibited or further restricted under the terms
<br />of such land development regulations.
<br />Nonconformity, Site -Related - A characteristic of the site, such
<br />as off-street parking or loading, lighting, landscaping, drainage
<br />or similar matters which are incidental to the principal use of
<br />the property but which do not satisfy current County standards, as
<br />established in these county land development regulations.
<br />Nonpoint Source - Causes of water pollution, such as agricultural
<br />fertilizer runoff, and sediment from construction, that are not
<br />associated with point sources. Examples include:
<br />1. Agriculturally related nonpoint sources of pollution
<br />including runoff from manure disposal areas, and from
<br />land used for livestock and crop production;
<br />2. Silviculturally related nonpoint sources of pollution;
<br />3. Mine -related sources of pollution including new, current
<br />and abandoned surface and underground mine runoff;
<br />4. Construction activity related sources of pollution from
<br />disposal on land, in wells or in subsurface excavations
<br />that affect ground and surface water quality;
<br />5. Sources of pollution from disposal on land, in wells or
<br />in subsurface excavations that affect ground and surface
<br />water quality;
<br />6. Salt water intrusion into rivers, lakes, estuaries and
<br />groundwater resulting from reduction of fresh water flow
<br />from any cause, including irrigation, obstruction,
<br />groundwater extraction, and diversion; and
<br />7. Sources of pollution related to hydrologic modications,
<br />including those caused by changes in the movement, flow,
<br />or circulation of any navigable waters or groundwaters
<br />due to construction and operation of dams, levees,
<br />channels, or flow diversion facilities.
<br />Nuisance - Any debris, garbage, junk, trash, weeds, or
<br />unserviceable vehicles, or any other substance or material which,
<br />by nature of its location, is considered a health or safety hazard,
<br />and/or which is considered obnoxious and offensive to the general
<br />public. In application to Chapter 925, Open Burning and Air
<br />Curtain Incinerator Regulation, "nuisance" means any burning
