activity which is potentially harmful or injurious to human health <br />or property or which is annoying or offensive to occupants as <br />determined by the local jurisdictional authority. <br />Nursing/Convalescent Home - A home, institution, building or <br />residence, public or private, whether operated for <br />presently licensed by the state, which Profit s eor <br />n not, <br />personal care or nursing for a period exceeding twenty-four hours <br />ancet <br />to three or more ill, physically infirm, convalescing, <br />persons who are not related by blood or marriage to th�operatoor. <br />The definition of nursing or convalescent home does not include <br />hospitals, clinics or similar institutions which are devoted <br />primarily to the diagnosis and treatment of the sick or injured. <br />Off -Road Vehicle Tracks - A course of travel purposely constructed <br />including but not limited to landclearing and/or gradin <br />activities, to accommodate the recreational use of a vehicle or <br />vehicles designed for traveling off paved roads, such as a trail <br />bike, dune -buggy, four-wheel drive truck, or all -terrain vehicle. <br />In application to Chapter 911, Zoning, and Chapter 971, Special <br />Land Use Criteria, "off-road vehicle track" does not include <br />commercial tracks which would entail viewing stands or the charging <br />of a fee for spectators or track users. <br />Office - A building or portion of a building wherein services are <br />performed involving predominately administrative, professional, or <br />clerical operations. <br />-Office Park A large tract of land that has been beenplanned, <br />developed, and operated as an integratedfacility for a number of <br />separate office buildings and supporting ancilla <br />special attention given to circulationrI' uses needs, <br />aesthetics, and compatibility. parking, utility needs, <br />Open Burning - The burning of any matter in such a manner that the <br />products of combustion resulting from the burning are emitted <br />directly into the outdoor atmosphere without passing through a <br />stack or chimney. <br />Open Space - The gross area of the site less building coverage, <br />parking surface, internal traffic circulation system and any <br />exclusions herein specifically set forth. Up to 30% of the open space <br />requirement for a development may be satisfied by a body or bodies <br />of water contained within the development area. <br />Open Space, Common - Land within a development, not individually <br />owned or dedicated for public use, which is designed and intended <br />for the common use or enjoyment of the residents of the development <br />and may include such complementary structures and improvements as <br />are necessary and appropriate. <br />Open Space, Non -Vehicular - That portion of a site or parcel upon <br />which buildings, pavement, or other improvements have not been <br />placed, but excluding lakes and wet storage stormwater retention <br />areas. <br />55 <br />
