discharge the base flood without cumulatively increasing the water <br />surface elevation more than a designated height. <br />Relic Seawater - Water that has been trapped within an aquifer. <br />The source of this water is an ancient sea which inundated the <br />mainland in the geologic past. <br />Resident, Group Home - Any of the following: an aged person as <br />defined in Section 400.618(3) F.S,; a physically disabled or <br />handicapped person as defined in Section 760.22(5)(a) F.S.; a non - <br />dangerous mentally ill person as defined in Section 394.455(3) <br />F.S.; or a child as defined in Section 39.01(8) and (10) F.S. <br />Residential Districts - These zoning districts where the principal <br />use is single-family or multiple -family residential dwelling units, <br />including the districts such as but not limited to: A-1, A-2, A- <br />3, RFD, RS -1, RS -3, RS -6, RT -6, RM -3, RM -4, RM -6, RM -8, RM -10, RMH- <br />6, RMH-8, ROSE -4, R -SCID, AIR -1, CON -1 and CON -2. <br />Residential Wastes - Mixed household wastes, including yard wastes <br />generated by households. <br />Resort Housing - Structures containing accommodations made <br />available to tourists for temporary occupancy of dwelling units <br />which may be classified as a hotel or motel rooms, apartments or <br />condominium units, time-share units or other such units <br />accommodating transient residential needs. <br />Resource Recovery - The process of recovering materials or energy <br />from solid waste, excluding those materials of solid waste under <br />control of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Atomic Energy <br />Commission. <br />Restaurants (excluding Drive-ins) - Any establishment (which is not <br />a drive-in service establishment) where the principal business is <br />the sale of food, desserts or beverages to the customer in a ready - <br />to -consume state and where the design or principal method of <br />operation includes one or more of the following: <br />a. Customers, normally provided with an individual menu, are <br />served generally in non -disposable containers by a rest- <br />aurant employee at the same table or counter at which <br />said items are consumed. <br />b. Ice cream parlors and other small specialty restaurants <br />having floor area exclusively within a shopping or office <br />center and sharing common parking facilities which other <br />businesses within the center and expressly prohibiting <br />freestanding stores having characteristics of a drive- <br />in restaurant. <br />c. A cafeteria or cafeteria type operation where foods, <br />desserts or beverages generally are served in nondispos- <br />able containers and consumed within the restaurant <br />building. <br />d. The restaurants are self-service; food is generally <br />served in disposable containers, and customers generally <br />do the busing and clean-up for themselves or foods. <br />63 <br />
