Customers purchase food, desserts or beverages for carry- <br />out. <br />Retail Sales and Services, General - Commercial establishments <br />that, in addition to serving day-to-day commercial needs of a <br />community, also supply the more durable and permanent needs of a <br />whole community, including convenience stores, supermarkets, <br />department stores, discount stores, variety stores, hardware and <br />garden supply stores, apparel and footwear stores, florists, gift <br />shops, jewelry stores, book and stationary stores, specialty shops, <br />sporting goods stores, furniture and home furnishing stores, office <br />equipment and supplies, automotive supply stores, appliance stores <br />and similar retail sales and services. This use grouping also <br />includes laundry and dry cleaning establishments classified in the <br />Fire Prevention Code IV or V and using only non-flammable Class IV <br />solvents. General retail sales and services expressly excludes <br />sale and rental of motor vehicles, excepting small parts and <br />accessories; sale of construction materials, excepting paint, <br />fixtures, and hardware; vehicular service and maintenance <br />activities including service stations. <br />Retail Shops, Specialty - Commercial establishments such as <br />boutique shops and other special shops that cater to custom <br />markets, such as tourists, collectors, design clientele and similar <br />specialized user groups, and offering goods not generally available <br />in convenience or shoppers goods establishments. <br />Retail Trade - The sale of consumer goods, commodities, and <br />services to ultimate consumers. <br />Retention (to Retain) - the prevention of, or to prevent the <br />discharge of, a given volume of stormwater runoff into surface <br />waters of the state by storage completely on-site where the <br />capacity to store the given volume of stormwater is restored with <br />in seventy-two (72) hours following the storm event. Retention <br />storage is the amount of water the soil can hold against the pull <br />of gravity. The required storage volume must be provided by a <br />decrease of stored water caused by percolation through soil, <br />evaporation, evapotranspiration, or spray irrigation. Wet retention <br />refers to a basin which penetrates the dry season groundwater <br />table. Dry retention refers to a basin whose bottom located at <br />least feet one (1) foot above the wet season groundwater table. <br />Revenue Bonds - Bonds payable from a specific source of revenue <br />which do not involve a pledge of the full faith and credit of the <br />issuer. Revenue bonds are payable from identified sources of <br />revenue, and do not permit the bondholders to compel taxation or <br />legislative appropriation of funds not pledged for payment of debt <br />service. <br />Revenues - Increases in the net current assets of a governmental <br />fund type from other than expenditure refunds and residual equity <br />transfers. <br />64 <br />
